چکیده

We study the attractor equations for a quantum corrected prepotential F = t3 + iλ, with λ ∈ R,which is the only correction which preserves the axion shift symmetry and modifies the geometry. By performing computations in the “magnetic” charge configuration, we find evidence for interesting phenomena (absent in the classical limit of vanishing λ). For a certain range of the quantum parameter λ we find a “splitting” of attractors, i.e. the existence of multiple solutions to the Attractor Equations for fixed supporting charge configuration. Furthermore, we find that, away from the classical limit, a “transmutation” of the supersymmetry-preserving features of the attractors takes place when λ reaches a particular critical value.

Mirror Fermat Calabi-Yau Threefolds and Landau-Ginzburg Black Hole Attractors

We study black hole attractor equations for one-(complex structure)modulus Calabi-Yau spaces which are the mirror dual of Fermat Calabi-Yau threefolds (CY3s). When exploring non-degenerate solutions near the Landau-Ginzburg point of the moduli space of such 4-dimensional compactifications, we always find two species of extremal black hole attractors, depending on the choice of the Sp (4,Z) symp...

Attractors at weak gravity

We study the attractor mechanism in low energy effective D = 4, N = 2 Yang-Mills theory weakly coupled to gravity, obtained from the effective action of type IIB string theory compactified on a Calabi-Yau manifold. Using special Kähler geometry, the general form of the leading gravitational correction is derived, and from this the attractor equations in the weak gravity limit. The effective New...

Large Vacuum Rabi Splitting in a Single ‎Nitride-Based Quantum WellMicrocavity

Here, we report a theoretical detailed study of Vacuum Rabi Splitting (VRS) in the system of Nitride Single Quantum Well (SQW) within a semiconductor microcavity. Distributed Bragg Reflectors (DBRs) containing ZnTe/ZnSe multilayers including GaAs microcavity and  ( SQW at the center of microcavity, has been considered. Upper and lower exciton-polariton branches obtaine...

On the Moduli Space of non-BPS Attractors for N = 2 Symmetric Manifolds

We study the “flat” directions of non-BPS extremal black hole attractors for N = 2, d = 4 supergravities whose vector multiplets’ scalar manifold is endowed with homogeneous symmetric special Kähler geometry. The non-BPS attractors with non-vanishing central charge have a moduli space described by real special geometry (and thus related to the d = 5 parent theory), whereas the moduli spaces of ...
